Aaron/Wooi Yik aiming for 2023 Asian Badminton Championship title

Badminton News: Malaysian men’s doubles world champion Aaron Chia / Soh Wooi Yik is no stranger to tough competition. They continue to show their dedication and hard work as they prepare for the 2023 Asian Badminton Championships (BAC) to be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from April 25-30.

The world number 2 men’s doubles duo, who lost to Indonesia’s world number 11 Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin 18-21, 21-14 and 13-21 in the first round of All-England 2023, will face the same duo in the first round of the 2023 Asia Badminton Championships.

If advanced, they have the potential to face Tokyo Olympic champions of Taiwan, Lee Yang/Wang Chi-Lin in the second round and world number 7 Liang Wei Keng/Wang Chang of China in the quarter-finals.

In 2022, Chia/Soh qualified for the BAC final before losing to Pramudya Kusumawardana / Yeremia Rambitan of Indonesia 21-23, 10-21.
