Ravi Shastri warns Indians to beat Mumbai will be a challenge

Former Indian cricketers Ravi Shastri, Harbhajan Singh and S Sreesanth have shared their views on the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) game between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Gujarat Titans (GT) on Cricket Live from Star Sports. It will be an emotional match for GT captain Hardik Pandya, who rose to prominence playing at Wankhede but will now face his former side at home. Shastri believes that Pandya will play a vital role in leading his team to victory and proving himself against his former team. However, beating MI at home won’t be easy for GT.

Speaking on Star Sports’ Cricket Live, Ravi Shastri said: “Hardik’s return will be emotional. He will play an important match against a team on a ground where he is a star. Hardik wants to prove a lot by leading his team to victory. This game will be very interesting because it won’t be easy for GT to beat MI on their home ground and then MI will want to equalize the defeat in Ahmedabad and take a big step towards the playoffs.

Harbhajan Singh has warned MI to bring their A-Game into the match as GT have a strong and balanced bowling roster including Rashid, Shami and other quality bowlers. Speaking on Star Sports Cricket Live, Harbhajan Singh said: “MI had to take their A-Game against GT as the latter’s bowling formation was so strong. GT has Rashid, Shami and other quality bowlers. Mumbai’s bowling attack, on the other hand, was weaker and they lost over 200 points. Yes, MI has chased three straight totals over 200, but the Law of Averages might be playing catch up. Also, shooting is going to be very important in this game, if MI lose the shot it will be difficult.”

S Sreesanth said: “This game between MI and GT will be very exciting. MI plays at Wankhede. They will enter this game with a big win. Hardik, meanwhile, led GT brilliantly. In addition, the management team of the GT team has put the team in the field in very good preparation. This team lives in a family ecosystem and it’s easy to win in this situation. Most teams are still within reach of playoff berths, making this edition one of the fiercest matches in the tournament’s 15 years. It will be a high level battle between the five-time champion and the defending champion. Fans can also watch competitions between teams from different parts of the country, which adds even more spice.

The IPL 2023 edition has been one of the most closely contested competitions in the tournament’s 15 years, with most teams still within reach of playoff spots. A high-stakes battle between the five-time champion MI and defending champion GT adds to the excitement, and fans will be able to watch competition between teams from different parts of the country.
