Indonesia will face South Korea in the semi-finals of the Asian Mixed Team Badminton Championships (BAMTC) 2023. Here is the BAMTC 2023 quarter-final schedule.
Indonesia, who qualified for the quarter-finals as winners of Group C, meet second-placed Korea in Group A. This match will take place on Friday (17/2) at 11:00 local time or 14:00 WIB.
Indonesia went through the group stage with a score of four wins. In the duels against Lebanon, Syria and Bahrain, Indonesia always finished the game with a 5-0 victory.
Meanwhile, in the duel against Thailand, Indonesia trailed 0-2 after losing points in the men’s and women’s singles. At this time, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva and Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari were able to pick up points and win 3-2 for Indonesia.
Meanwhile, in the Group A stage, Korea could beat Singapore and Uzbekistan with a crushing 5-0 scoreline. In the duel against China, Korea had put up a fierce resistance with the score of 2-2 but finally lost in the decisive match, namely in mixed doubles.
Apart from the Indonesia-Korea duel, the other quarter-finals will pit Thailand against Japan, India against Hong Kong and China against Malaysia.
