Indian tourists really like to get married in Bali, more beautiful, cheaper and meaningful

The number of foreign tourist visits to Indonesia in December 2022 reached 895.12 thousand visits, an increase of 447.08% compared to December 2021 conditions.

Of this figure, Singaporean tourists became the largest with a share of 20.15%, followed by Malaysia 17.98%, Australia 11.42%, Timor Leste 8.4% and India 5.61%.

With the addition of December, the number of foreign tourists in 2022 will reach 5.47 million people, exceeding the government’s target.

“Our target was phenomenally exceeded, the target of 3.6 million is the most optimistic, but in November it was 4.6 million,” Sandiaga said.

For this year’s attendance target, which doubled its target of 7.4 million foreign tourists and 1.4 billion domestic tourists, Sandiaga prepared several events to attract international tourists.

Four world-class sporting events will be held throughout 2023. The first event is the F1 Powerboat which will be held on Lake Toba, Balige District, Toba Regency, North Sumatra from February 24-26, 2023.

Sandiaga Uno hopes the world-class powerboat racing event can attract up to 25,000 tourists, which will have a direct impact on the economy of the local community.

Additionally, the FIFA U-20 World Cup will be held in Jakarta, Bali, Surabaya, Solo, Bandung and Palembang from May 20, 2023 to June 11, 2023.

Then, the Anoc World Beach Games which will be held in Bali from August 5 to 12, 2023.

He said the sporting event which invited 205 countries had a direct impact on the length of stay and spending of tourists in Bali.

Finally, as revealed by Sandiaga Uno, the FIBA ​​Basketball World Cup will be held at Indoor Multifunction Stadium (IMS) Senayan, Central Jakarta from August 25, 2023 to September 10, 2023.

“We carefully calculate the target, including budgeting, because we want the preparation and the budget spent to be directly proportional to the foreign exchange earnings from tourists or the foreign exchange from tourism earned by the state,” Sandiaga Uno said.
