Just a few days after the official introduction, Jimmy 5 doors pocketed 3,000 order units. In fact, the pivot or waiting period is quite long, up to 3 months.
Launch detikOto Quoting the Cartoq page, Maruti Suzuki India has received orders for the 5-door Suzuki Jimny when it launches at Auto Expo 2023 from January 12-15.
At the time of the initial order, consumers are charged a deposit of Rs 11,000 (Rp 2 million). But now the down payment has been increased to Rs 25,000 (Rp 4.6 million).
Note, the Suzuki Jimny is produced at the factory in Gujarat, India. This factory produces a 3-door Jimny for global needs and a 5-door Jimny to cater to domestic or local consumers.
The 5-door Suzuki Jimny is 505mm longer than the 3-door version, and the wheelbase has increased by 340mm. Technically, the 5-door Suzuki Jimny is 3,985mm long, 1,645mm wide and 1,720mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,590mm.
Suzuki’s official website states that the power of the 5-door Jimny comes from a 1.5-liter gasoline engine. The engine refers to the same K15B unit as the 3-door Jimny.
The 1500cc 5-door Jimny engine produces 102hp of power and 130Nm of torque.
The Jimny 5 Door, which uses ALLGRIP Pro technology, is said to be capable of conquering extreme off-road terrain. This car’s 4WD transfer case allows drivers to smoothly shift from 2H to 4H positions.
While 4L gearing gives this 5-Door Jimny maximum torque and traction to conquer off-road terrain.
In addition, this car is of course also equipped with safety features such as airbags, limited slip differential brake (LSD), ESP with hill hold assist, hill descent control, rear view camera and an ABS with EBD.
