The Legend of Maula Jatt, starring Fawad Khan in the lead role, proved to be a massive blockbuster as it became the first Pakistani film to enter the Rs 100 crore club. It was supposed to be released in India on December 30 but was postponed indefinitely due to opposition from several political parties led by Maharashtra Navanirman Sena.
In a recent interview with CNN, actor Khoobsurat opened up about the possibility of his film being released in India, telling the portal, “Of course it would be great. If that has to happen, it’s a great way to shake hands. It is similar to the sweets and delicacy that we send to each other on the occasion of Eid and Diwali. Movies and music are such exchanges. But things are still a bit hot, let’s see. I heard it may come out and it may not. So let’s see.”
In a previous interview with Forbes, Fawad revealed that he had to be hospitalized due to an intense physical transformation while preparing to play the main character. He told Portal: “The time in the gym was crazy, but since he’s not Adonis, or a sculptural version of a Greek god, I can do well. Maula Jatta is more of an ‘akhade ka pahalwan’ and it makes it easier for me. I don’t need to be too worried because she is a character who plays in the mud and doesn’t care about cleanliness, I don’t need to apply makeup often.
He continued: “But the physical transformation wasn’t easy, I ended up in the hospital, and the stress and fatigue took a toll on my health. I can’t sustain the physical transformation. There was a bit of damage but I recovered. The real difficulty was speaking Punjabi but I also had a great team to help me out. »
