President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) resigned the presidency G20 next year to the prime minister India Narendra Modi at the closing of the Summit in Nusa Dua, Bali, Wednesday (16/11).
“I would like to congratulate India, which will continue to lead the next G20 Presidency. The mandate to sustain and achieve global recovery and the pursuit of inclusive growth is in the hands of His Excellency Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said. said Jokowi during the closing session of the G20.
Jokowi believes that under Modi’s leadership, the G20 will continue to move forward. He stressed that Indonesia is ready to support India’s G20 presidency next year.
“I also call on all G20 leaders here to also support India’s presidency next year,” Jokowi said.
“Marking the end of Indonesia’s G20 presidency, I am handing over the reins of (G20) leadership to India as the next G20 presidency,” he said.
Jokowi also addressed all G20 ministries, institutions and working groups that have contributed to the success of Indonesia’s G20 Presidency over the past year.
Jokowi also did not forget to appreciate the enthusiasm of the leaders of the G20 countries who were present in person in Bali even in the midst of a world situation that was experiencing many difficulties.
“Farewell to all heads of state who attended and invited delegates, bon voyage. I hereby declare the G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia closed,” Jokowi said as he banged a gavel on the table in front of the court.
