Twitter on Tuesday announced its new Blue for Business service, a new way for businesses and their partners to get verified and distinguished on the microblogging platform.
As a Twitter Blue for the Business subscriber, a business can link any number of its affiliated people, businesses, and brands to its account, according to Twitter in its Business blog post.
When they do so, linked profiles will receive a small badge with their parent company’s profile picture next to their blue or gold tick.
This connection will help companies build networks within their own organizations on the microblogging platform.
Each partner is verified based on a list provided by the parent company and officially linked to its parent handle.
“This is an incredible moment for businesses to further embed their connected people, businesses and brands in the DNA of Twitter,” the company said.
“In the future, we plan to add even more value to the offering to help businesses and their partners get the most out of Twitter,” she added.
The microblogging platform is testing Blue for Business with a select group of companies for now, but next year it will roll out to more companies that want to sign up.
