Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrives in Bali, Tito and Koster welcome

Head of state G20 keep coming to bali till tonight. The latest is Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi who arrived at I Gusti Ngurah Rai airport in Bali.

Instagram account G20 Indonesia uploaded a video of Modi’s arrival at I Gustri Ngurah Rai Airport on Monday (11/14/2022). Modi came to Indonesia using a predominantly white plane.

As soon as they got off the plane, Modi immediately greeted the Minister of Interior, Tito Karnavian, and the Governor of Bali, I Wayan Koster, who were ready to welcome them. Moreover, Modi was greeted with a Balinese dance like the leaders of other G20 countries when he arrived in Bali.

After the welcoming process was completed, Modi immediately got into the car which had been prepared. Modi left the airport and headed into the night.

Previously, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni also arrived in Bali. In addition, President of the United Arab Emirates Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of Senegal Macky Sall, President of Rwanda Paul Kagame and Madame Jeanette Kagame have arrived in Bali. Meanwhile, the head of the international organization who arrived today is International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach.

G20 Indonesia Summit

The G20 is a strategic multilateral platform that connects countries to major world economies. G20 members represent more than 80% of the global economy, 75% of international trade and 60% of the world’s population.

The intense G20 Summit Forum is held every year featuring every Head of State or Head of Government. This year, Indonesia officially holds the presidency of the G20 after having previously been held by Italy.

In its direction, Indonesia carries the spirit of recovery with the theme “Recover Together, Recover Stronger”. There are three priority issues in Indonesia’s G20 Presidency, namely global health architecture, digital transformation and sustainable energy transition.

The G20 Indonesia Summit will be held in Bali on November 15-16, 2022. This event is the culmination of a series of G20 agendas during Indonesia’s G20 Presidency.
