71 medals at the Asian Games. India has reached a historic high.

The 19th Asian Games will be held on the 11th day in Hangzhou, China. The competition, which began on September 23, will continue until October 8. The tournament brought together 12,500 players from 45 countries, including China, Japan, India, South Korea and Pakistan.

40 sports are divided into 61 categories at the Asian Games. In this team, 699 men and women of the Indian team participated in 39 sports and collected medals for India. This is why, this morning, a shooting competition took place as part of the Asian Games.

In the mixed doubles category, the gold medal was won by Indian mixed shooting team Ojas Theodil and Jyothi Surekha Venam. This is India’s 71st medal. With this, India broke its record for the highest medal tally in a single edition of the Asian Games.

Previously, India won 70 medals in the Asian Games held in Jakarta, India in 2018. Team India had won 50 medals in the previous four Asian Games. At the end of the tenth day of the 19th Asian Games, India was ranked fourth in the medal table with 69 medals.

Today, on the 11th day of the Asian Games, India won 71 medals. He won 16 gold, 26 silver and 29 bronze medals and ranked fourth on the medal list. Likewise, China won 300 medals, including 164 gold, 90 silver and 46 bronze, and ranked first on the medal list.
