On Thursday (10/13), Sitharaman enthused that the 5G technology that India is proud of is entirely a native product of the country, not imported from other countries or places.
“The story has not yet reached the public. The 5G we are launching in our country is really original, independent. Our 5G is not imported from elsewhere and it is our own product,” said Sitharaman, who was charged Ani News Friday (14/10).
Sitharaman added that currently the private company that created the technology is preparing for this product to be used by other countries by the end of 2024.
Meanwhile, during its launch in early October, Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi also expressed his satisfaction with this 5G technology.
Modi said that currently his country does not want to continue being a consumer as India is fully committed to playing an active role in advancing global technology.
“The New India will not remain a mere consumer of technology, but India will play an active role in the development and implementation of these technologies. India will play a major role in the design of future wireless technologies and the manufacturing associated with them,” Modi said. at launch on Saturday (1/10).
The Prime Minister pointed out that in the past, India was very dependent on other countries for 2G, 3G and 4G technology. But now, with 5G, India has created its own history, he said.
