JAKARTA, lightning.com– A total of five Indonesian representatives have finished playing the quarter-finals Hylo Open 2022. Three of them reached the semi-finals.
Moreover, Indonesia managed to place three representatives in three different sectors in the semi-finals of Hylo Open 2022.
They are men’s singles Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, women’s singles Gregoria Mariska Tunjung and mixed doubles Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati.
All three representatives of Indonesia managed to defeat their opponents with back-to-back matches in the quarter-final match at Saarlandhalle, Saarbrücken, Germany on Friday (4/11/2022).
Gregoria managed to finish the match well against India’s representative, Malvika Bansod.

Bansod had put up fierce resistance against Gregoria until a thin score colored the first interval of play.
However, Gregoria managed to overcome the resistance of Indian women’s singles in the first match with the score of 21-17.
In the second game, Gregoria had no more fights to end the match quickly.
Gregoria’s gentle move was followed by Anthony Sinisuka Ginting (men’s singles) and Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati (mixed doubles).
Anthony Ginting and Rehan/Lisa have created a surprise by managing to qualify for the semi-finals of the Hylo Open 2022.

Rehan/Lisa beat Denmark’s fifth seed Mathias Christiansen/Alexandra Boje in a two-game tie at 21-12, 21-8.
In contrast, Anthony Ginting defeated former 2021 World Championship winner Loh Kean Yew (Singapore) by back-to-back matches 21-13 and 21-14.
Meanwhile, two other Indonesian representatives, Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Hingtyas Mentari and Jonatan Christie, had to fall.
Rinov/Pitha were beaten by Mathias Thyrri/Amalie Magelund (Denmark), while Jonatan Christie was beaten by Indian representative Kidambi Srikanth.
