India: 14 killed in conflagration in the east of the country

At least 14 people, including ten women and three children, died on Tuesday evening January 31 when a fire broke out inside a multi-storey building in the Indian state of Jharkhand, a local police officer confirmed by telephone.

A wedding was taking place in the building in the Dhanbad area when the fire broke out, the official said.
