India: 14 killed in conflagration in the east of the country
At least 14 people, including ten women and three children, died on Tuesday evening January 31 when a fire broke out inside a multi-storey building in the Indian state of Jharkhand, a local police officer confirmed by telephone.

A wedding was taking place in the building in the Dhanbad area when the fire broke out, the official said.
“Nearly a dozen injured people are being treated at local hospitals. Search operations are underway to find out if anyone is trapped. Firefighting and rescue operations are complete“, he added.
This is the second fire in the same area in the last four days. Last Saturday, five people died in a fire inside a private clinic.
