Xiaomi India kicked off the 4th edition of “Mi Summit” on Saturday with the vision of enabling B-School students to get hands-on experience with business case studies and real-world problem statements.
The winner will receive a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh, followed by Rs 1 lakh for the runner-up team and pre-placement interviews for both.
“At Xiaomi India, we have always focused on providing opportunities for young people that empower them and help them build a better future,” said Muralikrishnan B, president of Xiaomi India, in a statement.
“The Mi Summit program was launched with the vision of helping young and intelligent people in India to follow their passion and truly understand how the business world works,” added Muralikrishnan.
During the 4th edition, students from 27 business schools can form teams of two from the first or second year and submit their participation.
The company says teams need to present solutions that solve problems and demonstrate their usefulness and applicability in real business environments.
Structured in 5 stages, the program starts with a selection quiz, followed by pre-campus, campus and cluster rounds culminating in a final at Xiaomi’s headquarters in Bangalore.
All campus round winners will receive a Pre-Placement Interview Offer (PPI) from the country’s leading smartphone brand and stand a chance to win prizes of up to 6 lakhs from Xiaomi India.
The top teams from each college will be divided into six groups, from which the top two teams from each group will be selected for their final presentation.
Xiaomi India said that among participants identified in 27 business schools, this year wild card entries from non-participating schools were also accepted.
The group winner and runner-up will receive a Redmi SonicBass wireless earphone and soundbar mi and a PPI offer, respectively, while the campus winner will have a chance to win a PPI offer.
Launched in 2019, more than 7,000 students have participated in Mi Summit.
In the 3rd edition, Xiaomi India contacted 25 business schools and saw the participation of more than 3,000 students.
