apartment The feature is aimed at businesses that should allow them to re-share a previously shared status with their customers via their profile, reports WABetaInfo.

WhatsApp status archive

Just like other trial features, the Status Archive feature is rolling out in beta and is currently available for a select group of WhatsApp Business

Android

Beta tester. Reports suggest so

Meta

could expand the feature to more beta users in the coming weeks.

The feature is available in WhatsApp Business Beta for Android from version 2.23.11.18.

How it works

Based on the screenshots shared by WABetaInfo, when the status archive is enabled, users are notified by a banner available on the Status tab. If the feature is enabled, the status updates are automatically archived on the device 24 hours after they are published. Users also have the ability to manage archive settings and check all archive statuses directly from the Status tab.

This feature will help businesses keep reporting their status and engaging with their customers. This also saves some time.

The feature can also be useful for regular users. This allows users to review their old statuses that they have posted and also re-post them if needed. However, the function seems to be more suitable for companies in particular.

Note that the feature is in beta testing and is only available to a select group of beta users. We expect the feature to be rolled out to more beta testers in the coming days along with a future rollout.
