Thomas Cup 2022 standings: Indonesia Perkasa in Group A, India finalist in Group C

TRIBUNNEWS.COM – Indonesia’s progress on the opening day of the 2022 Thomas Cup tournament has been quite satisfactory.

The Indonesian team has not deviated from the forecast, where the representatives of Merah Putih could beat Singapore on Sunday (05/08/2022).

Unfortunately, Indonesia was unable to erase the whole game against Singapore.

The reason is that Indonesia’s first men’s singles, Anthony Ginting, has to admit the superiority of the opponent.

Indonesian bachelor Anthony Sinisuka Ginting has won the Indonesia Masters 2020 after winning the match against Denmar representative Viktor Antonsen, at Istora Senayan, Central Jakarta on Sunday (19/01/2020). Anthony Sinisuka Ginting won against Viktor Antonsen through rubber play with a score of 17-21, 21-15, 21-9. Tribunnews/Jeprima (Tribunnews/JEPRIMA)

Ginting ended up in the hands of world champion, Loh Kean Yew.

The world number five badminton player lost in straight sets to Loh Kean Yew.

Scores of 13-21 and 14-21 marked Loh’s dominance over Ginting in this game.

Fortunately, the four representatives of Indonesia then managed to pay for Ginting’s defeat.

From the men’s doubles Fajar Alfian/Rian Ardianto to the men’s singles player, Jonatan Christie each won a precious victory.

Likewise with Bagas Maulana/M. Shohibul Fikri who became the second Indonesian double.
