Centered in the badge is a single, flawless white diamond that in itself  is 19 carats. The drink is also handmade in 18ct solid gold and weighs approximately 36gsm, handcrafted and engraved with the client’s name and a single bottle costs £1,200,000. The brand has variety of collections which varies from Sterling Silver, Porcelain, Swarovski crystals, brass and marble embellished with precious stones. One of the brands d’Mart imports from is Italian brand Linea Argenti where they collaborate and design various figurines and artefacts like candlesticks, boxes, lamps which are then made in 92.5% silver. In the latest collection it is a series of God and Goddess figurines in various materials. Here we have a small interaction with Mr.K.V Rao Chairman d’Mart and Mr.Agostino Zafferani, Chairman Linea Argenti.

StyleCity: What do you feel is Linea Argenti’s USP or trademark?
K.V.Rao: I think Linea Argenti’s USP lies in doing a great job in reproducing classical masterpieces with perfect finish in sterling silver.
StyleCity: From where do you get inspiration?
Zafferani:We get our inspiration from our trips all over the world, especially various palaces and museums. Besides that ofcourse alot of our products come from client demands and what they have in mind in terms of design. Like for India we are often shown new things by Mr.Rao and his family.
StyleCity:What are your favourite pieces in your collections?
Zafferani:The clocks are definitely the favourites with the team, especially the Lion and Marbles Louis XVI. Also those inspired by the Czar empire. In this particular collection we love the Balaji. It took a long time to make but is worth every bit of the effort. It is a silver Balaji with hand enamel and swarovski crystals.
StyleCity:What gifting ideas do you suggest for personalised gifting?
K.V.Rao: Mostly Gifts depend on individual to individual and what their choice and preference is, but besides that we have a trousseau collection which is perfect for gifting either the bride and groom or as return gifts. This includes a photo frame, Table lamp, clock and other products. We also customise products for instance we have this porcelain lamp which has a card holder in place of which we can put wedding cards to send to people.

Style Picks of the Week

What is a good design? This is a question that crosses every design students mind. In the most simple way it would be something which is practical yet aesthetically appealing. But if we delve deeper into that, something aesthetically appealing to you may just not appeal to me one bit and vice-versa. And just cause something is not practical does not mean we will not purchase it if we like it. I think it comes down to our personalities and lifestyle. Which is also something I constantly tell people when they ask for my opinion on something for their houses, ultimately it is your home, you have to live in it, I can only suggest but I definitely cannot enforce my choices. Here my idea is to showcase a variety of products and reviews to help you choose what you like. And I sincerely thank you for taking time out to go through my site and also leave me your feedback. If you like any products or have designed any and want them showcased please mail me the details. Till then enjoy this weeks pick and stay stylish!

Table Settings with A twist

Why don’t you set a table inspired by your favourite book or movie. This could be a theme party or a romantic dinner for two. It can be great even for bridal showers. Here is my take on how you can be inspired and do up each Look.

Princess Diaries– Perfect for a Bridal Shower or even a 21st Birthday Party. To create this look keep in mind the basic colours to be either light pink or lavender. Add white flowers so the pink does not look over done. The bride to be or Birthday girl is given a Tiara, so she feels like a princess on that day. Be sure to get lots of champagne. Wrap the give away gifts in pink boxes.
Little Women– If you cannot get time away to go to a countryside, fear not, you can create this picnic right in your living room. All you need is the projection of a countryside on a bare wall, or a large screen printed with a photo. Set up a picnic in front of the wall, complete with the basket and wine. Get some romantic music to the setting and you have a ready country-side picnic.
Madhatters Tea Party– This look needs no introduction, from your childs party to teenagers party or even an adults party it is perfect. The idea is to have alot of bright colours and mix-matched crockery. Ofcourse since the reference in a tea party you can get funky cup-cakes and cakes made, but if you want to extend this to a dinner soiree, even that can be done. Just get mixed and match glasses for alchol and see there are alot of finger foods which are served.
Mansfield Park– Here is a proper english tea setting, complete with the roses and muffins. The crochet table cloth, floral crockery and Silver cutlery is essential for this look. Do use doileys on the plate to add that vintage touch
Memoirs of a Geisha– In this look, less is more. So be very careful you don’t over do with too many accessories. A simple black table cloth with Black or brown Platters should look good. Do a simple flower arrangement, accessorise with fans if you really want to add something. They can work as menu’s or simple name cards.
Gossip Girl– Here we have a complete glam look. With edgy crystalware, bright maroons, Gold/Silver cutlery. Keep this look classy and Stylish!

Style picks of the Week

The last 10 days happened to have been very emotionally draining. Work has been frustrating, the heat is rising and mostly I had my heartbroken by a friend. Someone I thought I could trust turned out well not so trust-worthy. So guess what I did the past few days, I spent them doing things I love the most. Those included meeting up with old friends, having a crazy girls night out, spending time with my 10 month old nephew (so theaurapatic), went for long walks along the beach, spent time in the garden.planned a holiday, read alot of Terry Pratchet, went to a Spa and ate tons of ice-cream. Guess what? it actually helped. I feel a lot better and even though I am still a bit hurt but I guess it’s all in the process called learning. So anyway here are my style picks of the week, hope you like them 🙂
