Trend: Powerful Black and White

Fashion to Décor: Geometrically yours, Black and White
Come summers and white is on everyone’s mind. From clothes to walls to white beaches and white snow. No one wants to be reminded of the heat, at least no one here in the South. Anyway this summer fashion designers have taken a combination of the fall’s Masculine and Springs Feminine trend to bring the perfect geometry;a Black and White graphic trend. This trend is a rage in fashion and I think looks gorgeous in décor, in fact better than the ramp according to me. Have a look, and trust me one trend you want to incorporate this summer is Black and White!

Trend: Neon Crush

Fashion to Décor: Trend Neon
Neon has been quite a trend in Fashion the past few weeks. And similarly Home décor has been influenced by Neon accessories, especially in Kitchen equipment. Fellow blogger Katie has done Trend Neon for this weeks Tag a Trend and we have taken the trend from Fashion to Décor. So you can go a bit wild this summer with Neon in your wardrobe or living space, but the rule of less applies for both, unless you want to feel like you live in a circus
or are dressed for one.

Trend Alert: Longing for Lace

Fashion to Décor- Trend Lace
There is something about lace besides the fact that it is definitely the most sensual fabric alongside silk, it is feminine and delicate yet mysterious and elegant. It has a vintage aura reminiscent of times gone by and yet can be just as modern while maintaining an allure of classic style. Fellow blogger Katie has done Trend Lace for this weeks Tag a Trend and we have taken the trend from Fashion to Décor. Showcasing today are products inspired from this intricate material- Lace*

Trend Alert- Hello Yellow

Fashion to Decor- Trend Yellow
Finally we can say winter has packed its bag and Spring is here. Time to do away with the heavy and dark colours and say hello to shades like yellow. Almost all designers have used this shade for their spring-summer collection so why not introduce it in your homes. Fellow blogger Katie came up with the trend 50 shades of yellow for this week, you can see her blog here where I also participate and you can too http://tagatrend.co.uk/2013/03/02/trend-change-tomorrow-to-50-shades-of-yellow/

Trend Alert: Stripes

Fashion to Decor- Stripes
Another huge trend seen on the ramp this season was Stripes and everyone from Dolce & Gabbana to Moschino to Ralph Lauren to Versace was seen using this print. Be it thin or thick, horizontal or vertical stripes is definitely one trend which is going to be a huge this season and it seems like it is here to stay. Stripes are also making a huge appearance in Home Decor, which is not all that surprising since they are everywhere and if used well can add spunk to a room. Fellow blogger Katie came up with spot vs stripes for this week, you can see her blog here where I also participate and you can too http://tagatrend.co.uk/2013/02/18/spots-vs-stripes-tag-2/

Trend Alert: Peek a boo

We are all influenced by fashion. Even those who say they are not influenced by fashion are actually more influenced by fashion. Hence it is not shocking Decor gets a lot of its inspiration from season trends as seen on ramp. So to map out this years Spring-summer 2013 trends we got fashion designer Neti Jolly of XOXO to help us. To buy things from XOXO or simply ask Neti for fashion tips, log on to her Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/www.xoxo.co.in. Each week we showcase a new fashion trend and how we can incorporate it in Decor.

Trend: Peek-a-boo
Be sexy yet coy, the same feminine flavour is going to be seen this season through peek-a-boo dresses and tops. Dresses with the side cutouts, shirts with shoulders peeking out, tights with round cutouts and heart-shaped holes in the backs of dresses.Along with sheers and lace are all the trend for spring-summer 2013.
