Trend: Parisian Flavour

Fashion to Décor: Trend Parisian Flavour
Continuing with the flavour of the week, we have Paris in our Fashion to Décor trend as well. We all know Paris is known for its chic fashion and style statement but it also influences our does it really influence décor? Well Eiffel Tower is one of the most popular graphics to be used on décor but even besides that, who would not like to bring home a bit of Paris, a smell (candles), a taste (champagne or Macaroon) or a touch into their Living space?

Travel Diaries; Paris, France

I don’t think there is anything I can say which can describe Paris. Nor do the pictures I have actually do justice to some parts of the city. I feel some things I won’t be able to express and others I you might not agree with, so instead decided to leave you with a few images and few quotes which maybe describe Paris. Here is a Photo essay, part one of my Week dedicated to Paris

You can’t escape the past in Paris, and yet what’s so wonderful about it is that the past and present intermingle so intangibly that it doesn’t seem to burden- Allen Ginsberg

Even the majestic trees that graced and sheltered her streets were attuned to her–and the waters of the Seine, contained and beautiful as they wound through her heart; so that the earth on that spot, so shaped by blood and consciousness, had ceased to be the earth and had become Paris- Anne Rice, Interview with the Vampire

The allure of France

France has been every girls fantasy destination. The romance it spells is the stuff dreams are made of and ofcourse some of the best romantic movies like Before Sunset (my all time favourite movie), Amelie and ofcourse Paris je’ Taime. Walk along the gorgeous Eiffel Tower backdropped by the River Seine.Sit by a charming French bistro, or have a picnic by the river banks, – every corner of Paris makes for excellent spots to romance your loved one. By night, the city seduces you with its elegant flair. But I want to concentrate on more than just the romantic aspect of Paris or France. I am referring to the amazing French Style, from the fashion to the decor to the architecture and food everything has its own charm. From the gourmet food, the breads, wine and cheese, pastries to the design houses like Christian Dior, Coco Chanel, Yves St Laurent, France truly epitomises style and elan.
