Samsung launches new range of gaming monitors in India

Samsung launched its 2023 line of Odyssey G9 OLED gaming monitors powered by the Neo Quantum Pro processor in the country on Friday.

“The Odyssey G9 is a powerful gaming monitor with DisplayHDR True Black 400,” the company said in a statement.

Equipped with next-level Artificial Intelligence (AI) enhancement technology, which elevates every visual detail for optimal image quality, the new monitor features 1800R curvature with a 240Hz refresh rate and faster response of 0.03.

“To meet the demands and expectations of even the most experienced gamers, we have designed the G9 series with advanced technology and unparalleled functionality,” said Puneet Sethi, Vice President, Consumer Electronics Enterprise Business, Samsung India.

Measuring 49 inches, the Odyssey OLED G9 is the first OLED monitor to offer Dual Quad High Definition resolution with a 32:9 ratio, the company says.

Plus, it features a sleek design housed in a sleek metal frame and features CoreSync and Core Lighting+ on the back which uses advanced lighting technology to match on-screen colors.

According to the company, the addition of the Neo Quantum Pro processor sets the Odyssey OLED G9 apart from other OLED gaming monitors.

It uses deep learning algorithms to intelligently analyze images and automatically enhances them to adjust brightness while boosting contrast.

“The Smart TV experience paired with the IoT hub and voice assistance is the perfect blend of cinematic excellence,” he added.

The Odyssey G95SC OLED monitor comes in black and costs Rs 1,99,999.

Customers can purchase the monitors – the G95SC OLED and the G93SC – from the company’s official online store, Amazon, and all major retail stores.

Meanwhile, the South Korean tech giant has announced plans to open a “Game Portal”, an online store specializing in games, on Samsung.com in more than 30 countries around the world, starting with the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Brazil at the end of June.
