Indian Minister of State for Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar confirmed Prime Minister Trudeau’s return.

“The plane was cleared to fly,” he was quoted as saying. BBC, Tuesday (12/9/2023).
Prime Minister Trudeau was originally scheduled to return to Canada on Sunday (10/9/2023). However, he was forced to stay for more than two days due to technical problems.
In a written statement, the Canadian Department of National Defense confirmed on Monday (11/9) that the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) CC-150 Polaris with tail number 01 experienced a maintenance issue originating from a component that needed to be replaced.
“The safety of all passengers is of paramount importance to the ARC and pre-flight security checks are an integral part of all our airline protocols,” the statement said. “The discovery of this problem is proof that this protocol is effective.”
Canada’s Department of National Defense later said a replacement plane was being sent to India to pick up Prime Minister Trudeau. However, reports emerged on Tuesday that the replacement plane had been diverted to England. It was not clear whether the decision was because the plane in New Delhi had been repaired.
