Miss World 2023 will be held in India, not UAE

RIYADH: Riyadh-based Manga Productions has announced that its new video game, UFO Robot Grendizer: Wolf Party will launch on November 14th.

A subsidiary of the Mohammed bin Salman Misk Foundation, a Saudi film production company collaborated with French video game company Microids to develop the game.

The game is taken from the animated series Grinder, based on a giant robot character created by Japanese manga artist Go Nagai. To add to the tone of the game, musical compositions enjoyed in previous anime series have been reused.

The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. A Nintendo Switch version will be available next year. “We aim to release this game to delight fans and gamers in the Arab world and North Africa. We made sure at Manga Productions to attract the best international e-games to broadcast and adapt them in Arabic for our enthusiastic Saudi youth”, explained Abdelaziz al-Nagmoush, director of marketing, distribution and commercial development of Manga Productions.

This game will be available in two editions. The deluxe version will include the full game, keychain, two-picture poster, unique steel book and a 30cm x 42cm poster, while the collector’s edition will consist of over 12 items including the previous one, plus a collector’s box. art book, Grendizer costume, additional features, four art prints, a set of three brooches, a unique 25cm Grendizer statue, and a golden ticket.

On March 9, Manga Productions signed a publishing and distribution deal with Microids for the game, which covers the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

The partnership involves adapting the game into Arabic, and providing opportunities for skilled Saudis in areas such as distribution, licensing and marketing.

Cartoon Grinder, consisting of 74 episodes is one of the first Japanese animated productions to achieve success in the Arab, French and Italian worlds.
