UKRAINIAN COUNTER-OFFENSIVE GETS BASIC
Russian troops are struggling in northern Ukraine’s Kherson region, where the Kyiv army has been waging a counter-offensive for several weeks, according to occupation officials and bloggers specializing in Russian military movements. The head of the Russian occupation, Vladimir Balance, was the first to acknowledge Ukraine’s “breakthrough” and in particular the disappearance of the village of Dudtchany, before confirming that Russian aviation had “stopped” Ukraine’s advance, according to an interview Monday published Tuesday on the interested parties’ Telegram page.
“Ukrainian-Nazi progress in the Dudtchany area has been halted (…) we must not panic”, then hit one of his assistants, Kirill Stremoussov, in a video broadcast Tuesday on his Telegram channel. The Russian Telegram channel Rybar, which follows the movement of Russian troops, noted that Ukraine advanced in the areas of Arkhangelské and Dudtchany to “cut off the supply of the Russian group on the right bank of the Dnieper”.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces have remained silent on their advances in the south of the country. President Volodymyr Zelensky limited himself to saying in his Monday evening speech that “new areas have been liberated in some areas”.
