TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – A number of brands complete the list of latest mobile phones that will be present this month. From Vivo to Samsung, from entry-level ones to those with camera resolutions penetrating 100 MP. Some even prepared in more than one series.
Here are the latest phones that will be present in May 2022,
- Vivo T1 Pro and T1 44W
Vivo has launched Vivo T1 and Vivo T1 5G series in India. More recently, the brand will launch two more devices dubbed Vivo T1 Pro 5G and Vivo T1 44W on May 4 in India.
The Vivo T1 Pro 5G will come with an AMOLED panel with a peak brightness of 1300 nits. It will have a 64 MP main lens and will be powered by the Snapdragon 778G chip.
The device will have up to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The battery capacity of the phone is unknown, but it supports 66W fast charging. It will also have an 8-layer liquid cooling system and will boot on Android 12 operating system.
Vivo T1 5G was released in Indonesia late last month but not yet for its sibling, Vivo T1 44W. It is a 4G smartphone with an AMOLED panel and will be powered by the Snapdragon 680 SoC. It will use a 5000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging with Android 12 operating system.
- iQOO Neo6 SE
The iQOO Neo6 SE is expected to launch in China on May 6. The smartphone is expected to come with a 6.62-inch perforated Full HD+ OLED panel. 120Hz refresh rate, 1200Hz touch sampling rate and HD10+ certification.
This smartphone will come with a 64 MP primary camera with OIS support. The chip used is from Qualcomm, Snapdragon 870, and contains a 4,700 mAh battery. The battery will have 80W fast charging technology.
- ZTE Axon 40
ZTE will launch its product on May 9 in China. The guesses are the Axon 40, Axon 40 Pro and Axon 40 Ultra. This series will come with an independent security chip for hardware-level protection.
The Axon 40 Pro will come with a 100MP camera setup, while the Axon 40 Ultra will feature a 64MP triple camera system. Up front, the Ultra is expected to sport a lower 16-megapixel camera with 2.24m Pixel Fusion technology.
This series will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon Sound and dtsX Ultrasound technology. As for performance, it will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1
- Sony Xperia 1IV
Sony has scheduled its launch event for May 11. The Sony Xperia 1 IV will come with a 6.5-inch screen, 4K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It will have Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection and HDR support.
The Sony Xperia 1 IV will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC paired with 12GB of RAM. The battery is quite large, 5,000mAh, with support for 45W fast charging. Camera details on this phone are sparse, but it is expected to feature a branded triple camera system ZEISS.
- Vivo X80
Vivo launched the X80 series exclusively in China. Now, the series will officially launch outside the country, including Malaysia on May 8 and India on May 18. The series consists of Vivo X80 and Vivo X80 Pro.
Vivo X80 and X80 Pro have a similar design. The panel features a 6.78-inch AMOLED E5 display with 120Hz refresh rate, 1500nits peak brightness, and 100% P3 color gamut. The vanilla version of the X80 has an FHD+ resolution display, while the X80 Pro has a QHD+ resolution panel.
The X80 has a 50MP IMX866 + 12MP + 12MP triple camera system, while the X80 Pro has a 50MP CNG 1G + 48MP + 12MP + 8MP quad camera system. Both have a 32 MP selfie camera.
The Vivo X80 is powered by the Dimensity 9000 SoC and has a 4,500mAh battery, while the X80 Pro packs a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC with a 4,700mAh battery cell. The duo supports 80W fast charging and runs Android 12 OS.
- Samsung Galaxy A13 5G
The Samsung Galaxy A13 5G has obtained several certifications and is expected to launch this month. The Samsung Galaxy A13 5G carries the model number SM-A136B and will feature a 6.5-inch PLS LCD screen.
This phone will have a 90Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution, along with a 50MP triple camera system and will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. The device will come in a 4GB+64 configuration. GB of RAM and will boot to Android 12 operating system.
- OnePlus Nord 2T
Even though OnePlus has released several phones in different regions over the past month, the brand still has a few more phones. The one expected to arrive this month is the OnePlus Nord 2T. This smartphone will replace the Nord 2 and is expected to come with improved features.
The smartphone has been spotted on several recent certifications. Among those revealed is the 50 MP main camera which has an aperture of f/1.9. It will support Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). The main lens will be accompanied by an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2 MP depth sensor. On the front, it will have a 32MP selfie camera.
For power, the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The device is expected to have a 4,500mAh battery supporting 80W fast charging technology.
- Redmi Note 12
Redmi has started releasing the upcoming Redmi Note 12 series. The series will likely have Note 12 and Note 12 Pro. Although the company has yet to reveal a release date for the series, CEO Lu Weibing hinted that an announcement would be made soon.
Apparently, the device will be launched as early as this month in China considering the launch trend of the Note series.
This time around, the Note 12 series promises to deliver a significant performance leap over its predecessor. However, there are no details on which chipset the phone will install. The camera design and details are also still unknown.
- Samsung Galaxy A04s
Samsung is also expected to launch the Galaxy A04s this month. The leak appeared on the internet. The Samsung Galaxy A04s will feature a new design on the back while having the same waterdrop notch display on the front.
This smartphone will feature a 6.5-inch screen with HD+ resolution, a triple camera system on the back. The chipset is entry-level, has a 3.5mm headphone jack and is expected to boot to the Android 12 operating system.
