Kumamoto Masters 2023: Rahmat/Kevin’s steps stop in the round of 16

Kumamoto: Rahmat Hidayat/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo were eliminated from the Kumamoto Masters 2023. The Indonesian representatives were ousted by the Chinese representatives, He Ji Ting/Ren Xiang Yu, with a score of 10-21 and 17-21.

Rahmat/Kevin admitted that they found it difficult to take the pressure off. They believe it needs improvement and are determined to find a way to escape the pressure so they can compete at a higher level.

“From start to finish, I think we were under constant pressure. We couldn’t escape the pressure from our opponents,” Kevin said. “I also can’t get rid of the pressure. The results of today’s match were also not satisfactory,” Rahmat said.

“That’s one thing we need to correct. When we play at a high level, there’s definitely a lot of pressure and so on. Also, the opponents are definitely more difficult. We need to learn to take the pressure off ourselves,” Kevin explained. .

“After participating in the Korea Masters and Japan Masters, there are still many things to improve to be able to compete at the highest level. The tournaments in Korea and Japan are also a benchmark for how far we can compete,” Kevin said. .

The Kumamoto Masters 2023 is also the last tournament Rahmat/Kevin will participate in. Now they will prepare to sail next year.

“This year the tournament we participated in is over. We are not going to India. For next year we will see how it goes,” Kevin explained.

“Being able to team up for the first time with Mas Kevin in a high-level tournament is very encouraging for me,” concluded Rahmat.
