Summit The G20 will be held in India on September 9 and 10, 2023. President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will participate in the multilateral forum focused on financial and non-financial issues.
Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi revealed that Jokowi would leave Indonesia for India on the afternoon of September 8. Jokowi he said he would arrive in India the same day.
“On the afternoon of the 8th, we will get there on the evening of the 8th,” Retno said at the Presidential Palace Complex, Central Jakarta, Friday (1/9/2023).
Retno said Jokowi would be in India until September 10. From India, Jokowi then returned to his native country.
“Until then, play at 9, 10 again, because it’s 1.5 days, the G20 formula is 1 day completehalf a day,” he said.
For information, India holds the presidency of the G20 this year after having been held by Indonesia the previous year. The G20 is the main forum for international economic cooperation made up of countries with large economies in the world, consisting of 19 countries and one European Union institution.
The members of the G20 are South Africa, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, India, Indonesia, England, Italy, Japan , Canada, Mexico, the Republic of Korea, Russia, Germany, France, China, Turkey and the European Union.
