Jakarta: The Indonesian national basketball team lost to India with a score of 90-74 in the second match of Group A of the FIBA ​​​​2023 Olympic Prequalification Tournament, Sunday, August 13 evening WIB. At that time, Indonesia still couldn’t take the lead by scoring points at the end of each quarter.

According to the match statistics published on the official FIBA ​​website, Indonesia only managed to tie the score at 19-19 at the end of the third quarter. Meanwhile, in the other three quarters, India won with a score of 25-16 (T1), 25-20 (T2) and 21-19 (T4).

Marques Terrel Bolden remains Indonesia’s most influential player against India. But this time, he only recorded 23 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks at Al Fayhaa Stadium, Damascus, Syria.

Besides Bolden, there is Yudha Saputera who is also quite important for Indonesia with a contribution of 17 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists. Unfortunately, this performance was not followed by his teammates as no other player managed to score more than seven points.

On the Indian side, four players managed to score double-digit runs, namely Sahaij Pratap Singh Sekhon, Muin Bek Hafeez, Arvind Kumat Muthu Krishnan and Pranav Prince. However, Muin Bek Hafeez was considered the most efficient player as he contributed 15 points, 5 assists and 3 steals.

The match results place Indonesia in third place in the Group A standings with a collection of 3 points, while India is in second place with a collection of 4 points.
