Badminton News: Star Indian badminton player PV Sindhu had a memorable meeting with Apple CEO Tim Cook at Apple’s next-generation iPhone launch event in California.
Apple launched its latest iPhone series at its headquarters on Tuesday, in the presence of two-time Olympic medalist Sindhu.
Former world champion PV Sindhu shared a selfie with senior Apple executives on Instagram, calling the moment “unforgettable”.
He also invited to play badminton with Cook during his future visit to India.
“Unforgettable moment meeting Tim Cook on opening day at Apple Cupertino! Thanks for inviting me, Tim. It was a pleasure to see the amazing Apple Park and meet you! I will happily accept your offer to play badminton during your next visit to India,” Sindhu wrote in her statement.
In another post, the 28-year-old shared photos of his interaction with Cook, expressing his excitement for Apple’s main event.
“I found myself immersed in an #apple main event that promised innovation, excitement, surprises and of course great conversation. Thanks Tim Cook,” he wrote.
Apple introduced its new iPhone series, consisting of four models, namely iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, packed with the latest features. For the first time, the “Made in India” iPhone 15 will be available for purchase on the same day as its global launch.
In 2019, Indian women’s singles badminton player Pusarla Venkata Sindhu became one of the richest female athletes according to business magazine Forbes.
