The leading indices closed lower on Friday. Sensex slipped 505 points to 65,280 and Nifty dropped 165 points to 19,331 on losses in world markets.

Here’s a look at stocks that will likely continue to be in the news today.

HDFC bank

All MSCI indices replaced HDFC with HDFC Bank after the merger.

Suzlon Energy

Suzlon Energy said its board has approved a proposal to procure up to Rs.2,000 crore. The company will examine various financial options to raise the amount.

RIL

Reliance Industries has set July 20 as the effective date for the spin-off of its financial services division, Reliance Strategic Investments.

Hindustan Zinc

The Board of Directors of the company has approved an interim dividend of Rs.7 per share for the current fiscal year which will entail expenses of Rs.2957 crore for the Vedanta subsidiary.

Cyient DLM

Cyient DLM shares will debut on the stock exchanges today. The stock is expected to trade at a premium of over 50%.

Indian oil

The Board of Directors of Indian Oil Corp (IOC) has approved the raising of capital of up to Rs. 22,000 crore through a rights issue. RVNL emerged as the lowest bidder for the NHAI project valued at Rs808 crore.

HAL

The Government and HAL signed a contract for 458 crore rupees for two modernized Dornier aircraft for the Indian Coast Guard.
