Cinturion Corp Ltd, the Bermuda-registered global provider of scalable, capacity-based subsea and terrestrial network solutions, has entered into an agreement with Lightstorm Telecom Ventures Pvt Ltd as its India landing partner.
As part of the agreement, Cinturion’s TEAS – Trans Europe Asia System, an “open access” submarine and terrestrial network – will be hosted by India-based Lightstorm to strengthen connectivity between India, the Middle East and Europe.
Lightstorm said it will use its carrier-neutral and open cable landing station to usher in a new era in undersea cable system landings in India.
TEAS will connect two new routes via the Arabian Sea and the Mediterranean Sea and will continue two routes connecting the Middle East, with several routes via the Arabian Peninsula and a route through the Gulf of Aqaba and the Red Sea.
TEAS’ low latency and diverse routing will transform global traffic patterns by delivering cutting-edge solutions that strengthen connectivity between India, the Middle East and Europe, Lightstorm said.
Bill Marra, Cinturion’s Chief Commercial Officer, said: “We are very excited to partner with Lightstorm and provide a network that ensures secure, resilient and redundant communications with our carrier neutral open access solutions to further promote India as a hub to establish for international connectivity.”
Ranjan Banerjee, Chief Strategy Officer at Lightstorm, said: “India’s growing data consumption and digital aspirations require world-class digital infrastructure.
“Working with Cinturion will not only contribute to this growth, but also diversify the country’s existing cable systems. We look forward to a long and fulfilling partnership with Cinturion.”
