Telset.id, Jakarta – ChatGPT app for iOS has been launched in many countries including India. Unfortunately, the app was released recently and caused problems as some users admit that their iPhone gets hot and wastes battery while using ChatGPT.
cited Phone Since Gizmochina Wednesday (5/31/2023) this case happened by an iPhone user in India. As one of the countries that received the ChatGPT app, Apple Fanboy in that country admitted that there was something strange about their iPhone after downloading ChatGPT.
They claim that their iPhone is overheating and draining the battery while using ChatGPT. Both of these issues have been reported by several iPhone users in India, which makes users feel uncomfortable while using ChatGPT.
Unfortunately, OpenAI has yet to provide an answer to this issue, so it’s unclear what causes the iPhone to heat up and waste battery when accessing the app. However, as expected the apps’ use of voice input and the OpenAI voice recognition system called Whisper which could be a factor.

It is also possible that the app’s compatibility with older iPhone models could lead to issues that cause the iPhone to overheat. Please note that ChatGPT restricts that only mobile phones with iOS 16.1 operating system can access this application.
The minimum iPhone series that can run this is iPhone 8, while the series below are not recommended to download ChatGPT. As known, the ChatGPT app for iOS will be released in early May 2023. The features of the ChatGPT app are not too different from the web version.
It’s just that there are a number of additional features such as voice input supported by OpenAI Whisper technology, so users can ask questions on a smartphone without having to type them.
