BMW India has launched the ’50 Jahre M Edition’ of the X7 40i M Sport in the country. Limited to just 10 units, the BMW X7 40i M Sport 50 Jahre M Edition is priced at Rs 1.20 million (second hand, India) and marks the 50th anniversary of the iconic BMW M GmbH.

The 50 Jahre M Edition was developed locally at the BMW Group plant in Chennai and is offered with a petrol engine. This exclusive edition can be ordered at the company’s authorized dealers in India.

Design BMW X7 40i M Sport 50 Years M Edition

The SUV features a large gloss black kidney grille with the iconic M badge. The front and rear logos, as well as the wheel covers, also feature the M emblem. BMW Laser Light technology with sleek LED headlights and blue X-shaped elements comes standard on the SUV. The side profile has large windows and an elongated roofline, while the rear has long doors and a two-section tailgate.

Available in Mineral White and Carbon Black colors. The X7 40i M Sport 50 Jahre M Edition is mounted on 21-inch 752M Jet Black alloy wheels and is also equipped with gloss black M Sport brake calipers. Buyers can also opt for the optional M Accessory Package which includes an M Performance steering wheel, rear view mirror caps and key fob in Alcantara.

The interior is equipped with a high seating position and features such as M seat belts, M leather steering wheel, panoramic glass sunroof, heated seats with lumbar support, five-speed automatic air conditioning zone, electric seat adjustment with memory function, 12.3-inch digital instruments panel and auto dimming function in all mirrors. The X7 40i M Sport 50 Jahre M Edition is also optionally available in a six-seater configuration including two comfortable captain-style seats for the second row.

This SUV features a number of BMW ConnectedDrive technologies, including BMW Gesture Control, BMW Display Key, BMW Operating System 7.0 with 3D Navigation, wireless charging, 12.3-inch Control Display, two 10.2-inch Full-HD displays with Blu-ray player. for rear-seat entertainment, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system and a wireless Apple CarPlay system.

Standard safety equipment in the SUV is as follows: six airbags, alertness assistance, parking assistant Plus with peripheral camera, reverse assistant, dynamic stability control (DSC) including cornering brake control (CBC), electric parking brake with automatic hold, side brake protection impact, electronic vehicle immobilizer and collision detection.

BMW X7 40i M Sport 50 Jahre M Edition Engine and performance

The BMW X7 50 Jahre M Edition is powered by the M TwinPower Turbo 3.0-liter 6-cylinder petrol engine that produces 340 hp and 450 Nm of maximum torque. The engine is linked to an 8-tooth M Steptronic automatic transmission. There are four driving modes: Efficient, Sport, Comfort and Sport Plus. This SUV is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km / h in just 6.1 seconds.
