JAKARTA Cashmere is a country located in the northern part of India, the largest capital being Srinagar. This region stands and is divided by 3 countries, namely: Pakistan , India and the People’s Republic of China. Because Kashmir is located in Pakistan and India, the majority of the religion adopted there is Islam with a total of 67% and the rest follows Buddhism, Hinduism and Sikhism.

Although Kashmir is dubbed “Heaven on Earth in Asia” due to the snow-capped hills stretching across the border of India and Pakistan, this area is often disputed by several countries around the Kashmir region.

In the process, at that time, the Kashmir region was given the choice of wanting to join the state of Pakistan or India. But Maharaja Hari Singh, ruler of the Kashmir region, decided not to join anyone and wanted to become an independent country. This is what makes several countries want to take over the Kashmir region.

Here are 3 countries that are still in conflict over the Kashmir region.

1.Pakistan

It is no longer natural for Pakistan to want to take over the state of Kashmir due to the geographical location of the Kashmir region which is in the northwestern part of Pakistan. In 1947 Pakistani Pashton tribes invaded the Kashmir region to seize the Kashmir region. However, Maharaja Singh requested military assistance from the then Governor General of India, Mountbatten. Seeing this incident, it was felt that Maharaja Singh wanted the Kashmir region to join India even though most of the Kashmiri population was Muslim.

2. India

Not separated from the state of India, the region of Kashmir was also contested by the state of India to make the countries of Pakistan and India a conflict that continued for 3 decades, which killed tens of thousands of people. India continues to blame Pakistan for its support for separatist insurgents residing in the Kashmir region. India has held an important position in Kashmir because it has established article 370 of the constitution with rules of regional autonomy according to which Kashmir has the right to form its own flag and grant independence on all matters except foreign affairs, defense and communications which are still under Indian rule.

3. China

In the struggle for the Kashmir region, China appears to be an interested party due to its disputed status in the territorial issue of the Jammu and Kashmir region. So far, China has occupied several areas in Kashmir, including Gilgit Baltistan and Aksai Chin. This was done by China because they wanted to find minerals that could be used to build missile technology. The behavior exerted on China also provides a historical record of China’s immoral lie since colonial times, which aims to secretly acquire land that should be the land of Jammu and Kashmir.
