India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt Ltd. launched version 2.0 of the MT-15 model in India, with a number of new features. The MT-15 Version 2.0 only weighs 139 kg and is equipped with Yamaha’s patented Delta Box frame. The MT-15 Version 2.0 is powered by a 155cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve, fuel-injected engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) system. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox mated to an Assist and Slip clutch for lighter actuation. The MT-15 version 2.0 produces a peak power of 18.4 HP at 10,000 rpm, with a peak torque of 14.1 Nm at 7,500 rpm.
In terms of electronics, the MT-15 Version 2.0 features a new all-digital design featuring customizable animated text (when the ignition is on), as well as gearshift, gear position and VVA. The LCD screen also displays call, email and SMS alerts, as well as Smartphone battery status, available via the Bluetooth-enabled Y-Connect app. This app also offers information regarding maintenance recommendations, parking locations, fuel consumption, malfunctions, lap dashboard and ratings on Smartphones.

New colors for MT-15 Version 2.0 include Cyan Storm (new), Racing Blue (new), Ice Fluo-Vermillion and Metallic Black. The MT-15 Version 2.0 will be available from all authorized Yamaha dealers and is priced from Rs 1.59,900 (former repair shop, Delhi).
