One of the most popular festivals, the Cannes Film Festival makes a splash by inviting talent from all over the world. Several Indian actors have traveled to represent the nation at festivals and walked the red carpet at Cannes. Apart from Indian stars AR Rahman, Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, R Madhavan, Pooja Hegde, Kangana Ranaut, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Priyanka Chopra and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, represented Papon Assam at the annual festival.
Representing Assam at Cannes, Baboon said, “It is a proud moment for me to represent my country and the homeland of Assam at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. I am honored to have the opportunity to showcase Assam’s heritage. It is interesting that Assamese films have made such an impact around the world. I love the festival and its artistic spirit.
