The animated film Haikyu!! Dumpster Battle is expected to hit Indian cinemas in May.
As reported by Anime News Network, Medialink, a distribution company that handles distribution of anime content in Southeast Asia, announced in a press release that India will receive the highly anticipated animated film in May.
A press release revealed the release date for the two-part Haikyu!! Final sequel film in Southeast Asian countries. The film is scheduled to premiere in Hong Kong and Macau on April 11, followed by Taiwan on April 12. This screening will also be available in IMAX, 4DX and MX4D formats. It remains to be seen whether the film's screenings in India will receive the same treatment.
In March, Indian anime enthusiast X/Twitter account Weeb Central reported rumors that the film would be released in cinemas in India.
Haikyuu!! The Dumpster Battle premiered in Japan on February 16, 2024, following the popular volleyball anime series Haikyu!! To the top.
On April 9, Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment announced the worldwide theatrical release date for Haikyu!! Trashcan Battle at CinemaCon, which excluded some countries, such as India and countries in Southeast Asia, as Medialink oversaw its release in those regions. Crunchyroll also acquired other films such as Blue Lock The Movie – Episode Nagi and Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom.
