The IAC is a prestigious international competition in which different types of artists participate. The organizers of the IAC are INNOVIZE Global Events and Talent Search, a company founded in India.

Faiz created a work titled “Diversity”. His work was awarded the title of Best Digital Artwork in Season 12 of the International Art Competition (IAC).

Faiz said the initial idea for digital painting was related to diversity in Indonesia. According to him, the Indonesian nation is made up of various tribes and religions. From there, he then created a work called “Diversity”.

“The idea comes from Indonesia itself, the characteristic of Indonesia is that it is diverse, diverse, this shows that the work really comes from the manifestation of diversity itself,” Faiz told detikJateng met at MTs Negeri 1 Pati, Saturday (11/11/2023).

He went on to say that the work titled “Diversity” combines several faces representing the Indonesian people. Then combined with color elements, tattoos and even lines.

“I thought about what it would be like to create the faces of several people representing Indonesia with various elements such as colors, tattoos, etc.,” he said.

Faiz admitted that it didn’t take long to create the digital artwork. Because it uses sophisticated technology to create internationally award-winning works.

“The process didn’t take long because it wasn’t manual. Thanks to the digital art category, I took advantage of technological advances, used Dall-e, and then entered the photos I “I took them, then I edited them, then I uploaded them to the competition,” Faiz said.

Faiz sent his work in August 2023. Initially, the announcement was made in October 2023. However, the delay was not announced until November 5, 2023.

“Session 12 starts at the end of August 2023, the announcement will be made at the beginning of October, it is possible that many will enter until November 5, 2023,” he said.

Compete with thousands of participants around the world

He said his work had to rival that of thousands of other artists around the world. Initially, he had no target. Because according to him, participation is more important. Meanwhile, winning is a prize.

“At the IAC, the submitted works are not exhibited, we only give a number of entries of around a thousand. We only receive announcements from their social networks,” he explained.

“The goal is not to win, the important thing is that I participate, winning is an additional prize, the important thing is that I want to participate,” said Faiz, who started teaching at MTs Negeri 1 Pati in 2019.
