Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Royal Enfield launched the Himalayan with a refresh not only in terms of shape. For the 2024 model, the Royal Enfield Himalayan received a model refresh along with a new engine at the 2023 EICMA event.
Reported take a separate trip, the latest Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 gets a new engine. This engine now has a 452 cc double overhead camshaft and liquid cooling.
This engine produces 39.5 hp and 40 Nm of torque. Additionally, this motorcycle has a larger 17 liter fuel tank with an estimated range of 450 kilometers per tank.
In terms of technology, Royal Enfield also does not want to lose. The new Himalayan 452 is the first in the Royal Enfield range to feature accelerator by wire. There are four driving modes with two power maps consisting of Performance and Eco.
There are also two ABS options: active for both wheels and disabled for the rear wheel only. All these features are easily accessible via the 4-inch TFT dashboard that integrates turn-by-turn navigation powered by Google Maps for convenient travel and exploration. Of course, there’s also Bluetooth smartphone integration for music and notifications.
Now the frame and swingarm of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 have been strengthened and the front end now consists of suspension. Upside down measuring 43 millimeters. At the rear, the suspension has also been improved and the new model now has a 7.9-inch rear wheelbase, which translates to 9.1 inches of ground clearance.
