Travelport enters into NDC agreements with Air India and EVA Air

Travelport has signed new distribution agreements with Air India and EVA Air that include future NDC content and services.

The travel technology company’s extended and expanded agreement with Air India is “in collaboration” with its local partner InterGlobe Technology Quotient (ITQ), the sole distributor of Travelport’s services in India. This includes the “future delivery of a complete NDC solution.”

Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial and Transformation Officer at Air India, said: “Our valued partnership with Travelport is an important part of our growth and technology strategy as we prepare to deliver a complete solution that makes it easier for agents to access Air India and to serve these contents and offers.”

Travelport’s renewed distribution deal with Eva Air also covers the Taiwan-based airline’s future NDC content and services, which the companies said in a statement would “deepen” their collaboration.

Eric Chiu, vice president of digital and information planning at EVA Air, said: “By continuing our successful collaboration with Travelport, we can further expand our global reach and offer our customers more convenient and personalized travel experiences.”

In a separate development, Air India has also expanded its partnership with another travel technology company, Amadeus. This includes local domestic content for travel sellers in India, as well as the integration of the airline’s NDC content into the Amadeus Travel Platform, which will be made available to travel companies in 2024.
