Building on the success of the first speech in Dubai, Jitin Joshi settled in Paris with an Indian bistro concept called The Crossing. On July 24, it took place on the 1st floor of the building Galeries Lafayette Le Gourmet.
“The name of the restaurant pays homage to the intricate network of Indian railway lines that weave together and connect one corner of the country to another, bringing together incredible diversity,” explains the chef, who has been awarded for his work at 2 starred restaurants: Benares* and Gymkhana*, in London.

At The Crossing, which has more than 70 place settingsThe entire culinary heritage of India is explored, from northern cuisine which is based on meat, to southern cuisine which is typically based on fish and vegetables.
For starters, Jitin Joshi revisits, for example chaata symbolic dish of Indian street food, or classic Chicken tikka. Among the dishes on offer between 20 and 25 €we found in particular a lamb curry with cardamom or even a smoked cauliflower with ras-el-hanout eggplant seasoning.
The chef’s ambition: to take inspiration from Indian history to offer light dishes that are true to the characteristics of his homeland, while bringing a twist modernity and one side bistronomic into this kitchen.
