Arriving on his last scheduled visit, namely Australia, Prime Minister Modi made a statement on India-Australia relations, ANI reported, citing an interview with the Australian Newspaper. Describing the relationship between the two countries, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the high level of mutual trust between the two nations has naturally led to greater cooperation over time, particularly on defense and security issues. In addition, he added that he would like to take bilateral ties between the two countries to the “next level,” which would entail deeper defense ties to help create an “open and free” Indo-Pacific.
