Honda has launched the mid-size hybrid City e:HEV priced at Rs 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Ordering has already started and delivery will start soon. The all-new City has a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers power to two motors on each axle. One of them works as an electric generator, while the second complements the power of its partner with an internal combustion engine. The City e:HEV offers a fuel economy of 26.5 kmpl, providing a range of 1,000 km, while the standard petrol-powered City ZX CVT offers 18.4 kmpl.
The powertrain is mated to an eCVT transmission, with the battery placed in the trunk. The engine produces 126 hp at 2,000 rpm and 253 Nm of torque.
The car is equipped with an array of segment-first safety features, including adaptive cruise control, lane assist and autonomous emergency braking. In addition, the car is equipped with six airbags, a lane monitoring camera mounted on the interior mirrors, a multi-angle rear view camera, TPMS, vehicle stability assist, hill-start assist and ISOFIX compatible rear seats.
In terms of design, the city e:HEV retains most of the elements of the previous generation car. Some of the changes in this new iteration are: blue accents on the Honda logo, tailgate-mounted e:HEV badge, new fog lamp trim, updated diffuser design on the rear bumper, and spoiler on the chest cover.

Inside, the car gets an updated 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity along with ambient lighting, a powered sunroof and the latest version of Honda Connect with Amazon Echo, Google Assistant, and smartwatch integration (iOS). and Android).
At launch, the Honda City e:HEV went up against the Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia, Hyundai Verna and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
