Inspiration Bengal

As I say often enough, India is home, India is inspiration. Most of my style and taste is inspired by the vast cultural variety India has to offer. The one state which has been on my places to visit has been Bengal. Each time there is a plan to head there something comes up and I never end up going. Bengal, specifically Kolkata has so much I want to see, the old British architecture, century old haath rickshaws, the grand old tram, the Bridal ceremony and make-up, the old clubs, my list can go on and on. Anyway it seems AIZA the furniture store had the same idea and came up with the collection ‘Quintessential Bengal’. This month they join hands with Sanctum a lifestyle store and display the collection from 22nd March to 22nd April. Each furniture piece displayed – Taxi Bench, Bus Bench, Weave Stool, Jangle table, Neel Chair, Neel Table, Babu Organizer, Wall mounted shelf, Bankura Chair – will remind you of the rich culture of Bengal. These stylish furniture pieces are made of solid wood and are pieces which can fit into your homes to create exclusive corners, and give an ambience to the setup. They are great talking points when you have guests over, and there’s a story behind every piece of furniture. So go ahead get a peice of Bengal into your home. Sanctum, Vasant House, 19th Road, Khar, Mumbai – 52
